...was not what I was told it would be!
As already stated previously in one of my blogs, traffic jams do not agree with me to the point of suicide :-) And like Amsterdam it was nose to tail. It took me 1hr 20mins to get from the motorway (Approx 7 kilometers) to the centre, by which time I was looking for the way back to the motorway! but I did get out of the van to take a few pics, just to prove I actually went there. Talking of pictures; I will have to put all the pics on here when I get to Hungary, as by this time of night my brain is fuddeled ((Nothing new there then!)
Driving on the Czech Republic motorways is a far cry from the German auto-bahns. Don't get me wrong, they are not bad but the auo-bahns seem to have rest/parking and toilet facilities about every ten miles and when I need to go I need to go!!! A few other things that may be of interest or not (Do I sound as though I'm bothered?) In Holland there are wind-turbine generators everywhere and quite a few in Germany. The Czech Republic has loads too plusfields apon fields of solar panels. The first time I saw them I thought at first they were green-houses!
I probably shouldn't do this but whoever thought up the Skype programme is a genius, as without it I'd be down in my pocket at least a hundred quid! I know, there was probably thousands involved in it's conception and if I could I'd shake their hand/hands (I wonder I can claim a fee for that bit of advertising?)
Well, I've got to go now as I'm waiting for a skype call from one of my favourite ladies :-) oh there she is now! XXXXXX
Hope is not that lady with the beard
