I should have posted pictures by now showing the conversion to the Transit but due to a trip to Ireland to help a eighty-four year old damsel in distress (My godson's Grandmother) and two days after my return I went down with a viral chest infection which put me on my back for two bloody weeks! I'm still feeling the after effects more than a month later! Therefore with work commitments and feeling like shit by the time I got home, nothing much got done!
Seven days tomorrow and the journey begins, well almost. Next Saturday 30th April, my boat comes in to whisk me away to Liverpool where I spend the week-end with friends. 3rd May (avoiding the bank holiday scrum) I head south stopping the night at my very good friends house in Coventry, then to my sons place in Buckingham to be acquainted with my first Grandson Alfie, born on 30th December 2010. I leave on the 6th May for my brothers in Kent where I'll be until my new passport arrives. All things being equal I should be on a Harwich ferry to Hook of Holland around the 20th May. Oh, I forgot to add; on the 7th of May I will be watching 'The Eagles' v Nottingham Forest, relegated or not!
