I've sat down again and re-plotted some of the various towns etc. I intend to pass through or near on my way through Romania, Bularia and Turkey before I reach the coast to take the ferry to Cyprus. They are: HUNGARY: Baja, Szeged, Kiszombor. ROMANIA: Timisoara, Bucharest, Constanta (By the Black Sea) Mangalia. BULGARIA: Varna, Burgas, Tsaarevo, Malko Tarnovo. TURKEY: Kirklareli, Pinarhisar, Saray, Istanbul, Ankara, Mersin which is where I catch the ferry to Kyrenia (Northern Cyprus) and over the border to Paphos. I should reach Paphos on or about 4th July (American Independance Day) depending on wether I take time out in Istanbul.
All of the above was plotted using Google Earth software which is free to download and use.
UK TO CYPRUS ROUTE: Harwich ferry to HOOK OF HOLLAND: Amsterdam, De Lutte. GERMANY: Hanover, Berlin, Dresden. CZECH REPUBLIC: Prague, Ostrava. POLAND: Auschwitze, Krakow. SLOVAKIA: Zvolen, Homok. HUNGARY: Budapest, Baja. (Back to original route!) ROMANIA: Bucharest. BULGARIA: Along the coast of the Black Sea, Istanbul, Ankara, Mersin, ferry to Girne TRNC.
