Took the van to the public weigh-bridge again and the offending weight was no more. Mind you, only by 20 kilo's! (3,500 kilo's is the max weight for the Transit) Purchased an extinguisher, first aid kit, so now all European regulations have been met.
When I got back to my brothers place the post had arrived and my old passport had been delivered so I presumed my shinny new passport would arrive on Monday. Well blow me down with a puff (No Brian, I said a puff, not a poof!) Around six-thirty a man came knocking on our door with my shinny new passport! Hurray!
So the plan is this: Sunday morning I set off for Mallory Park to see a mate from the Isle of Man racing in his first meeting in the UK. From there it's off to see my son and my new grandson Alfie. On Wednesday I move on up to Coventry to make the final arrangements to freight the bits I can't take with me. After the bank holiday week-end (1st June) I head off to Harwich to catch the ferry to Holland. And that's when the real adventure begins. Ta for now.
